Yevheniia Havaleshko with Threshold

About

I approach painting as a way of looking more closely at the world. My work develops through an ongoing exploration of perception, light, colour and atmosphere, and the ways these elements shape our experience of an image.

Each painting begins with an impulse or question and evolves through observation, experimentation and decisions about materials and form. The process is not confined to the act of painting itself; it develops through research, reflection and the choices that bring a work into being.

I work across different subjects and visual approaches, allowing each painting to find its own language. I am interested in creating works that hold attention through their visual presence while remaining open to individual experience and interpretation.
